The DELMIA 3DEXPERIENCE Manufacturing Process Engineer (MGA) Role helps to author, analyze, and manage manufacturing process plans more efficiently and communicate them across the organization.
It allows manufacturers to consume the manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) in the bill of process (BOP) to capture “what to make” and “how to make it”. The Process Management application provides close collaboration between engineering, manufacturing and process by connecting the dots through change management and configuration capabilities. Manufacturers can use Manufacturing Process Engineer to standardize and re-use assembly processes across multiple plants and capture textual work instructions for the shop floor.
Manufacturing Process Engineer Benefits
Easy to deploy
Light and simple authoring tool is easy to use and deploy, allowing you to author, analyze, and manage manufacturing process plans more efficiently
Deliver Engineering to Manufacturing (consistent data model)
Users can easily create processes and operations within the Work Plan to represent the sequence of steps in their assembly plans. They can assign the relevant parts and assemblies from the MBOM to specific operations, along with the required tools and resources from the bill of capable resources. Changes coming from product engineering (i.e. MBOM) can easily be streamlined into the Process Plan using Change Impact management tools, ensuring that engineering and manufacturing are kept in sync.
Simple to use interface
This light and simple authoring tool is easy to use and deploy, providing access for creating the Manufacturing Process Plan. The widget is used in a customized dashboard in combination with other widgets to fit the user’s needs such as manufacturing items management, 3DPlay or Change Management, for example. Drag and drops between widgets provide clear and efficient user interaction.
Easy authoring of the Process Plan in a collaborative environment
Planners can intuitively link the Manufacturing Item to each step of the plan using simple drag-and-drop. The Process Management widget defines the Process Plans with detailed operations, as well as associated capable resources (workers, machines, tools, etc.). Create, analyze, and update links between all these items by combining the usage of the Spec Tree & The Process Flow Diagram.
Manufacturing Process Engineer Highlights
Quick and efficient updates of the process plan
Maintaining the engineering and process plans in disparate systems can cause inefficiencies when product designs are frequently updated and launch schedules are constantly squeezed. With an integrated product and process development platform in the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, manufacturing engineers can quickly update process plans according to the design changes.
Using a set of powerful tools for managing updates, manufacturing engineers can quickly visualize and validate the impact of product and process changes, avoiding expensive late-stage identification of issues in production.
Define Shop Floor Work Instructions
Manufacturing Process Engineer provides an easy-to-use environment to author the textual instructions for operations in a unique Process Management UI.
