The CATIA Electrical Schematic Designer Role provides tools for electrical engineers and designers to develop controls and power systems for machines and other products.
Note that there are two schematic design roles for CATIA electrical design:
- Systems Schematic Engineer – A CATIA role best suited for harness design.
- Electrical Schematic Designer (this role) – A CATIA role that contains a SOLIDWORKS app. This role can integrate with CATIA and is best suited for panel and cabinet design.
This work typically involves design of control panels (cabinets) along with integration of devices including sensors, motors, actuators, instrumentation into the overall electrical system. Electrical Schematic Designer enables the designers to create documentation to guide manufacturing.
