  1. Mark Reynolds, Head of Operations at Avensis Aviation. Headshot Mark Reynolds

First up we have Mark Reynolds, Head of Operations at Avensis Aviation who will be walking us through the digital journey that Avensis Aviation have been on, from a start-up perspective.

Mark Reynolds is an operations professional working within the aviation sector. Starting his career in aviation as a design engineer, Mark has had the opportunity to travel the world working for most of the major aviation OEMs and more.  

During his time as a design engineer gave Mark a strong insight to how these companies operated. The years that followed allowed Mark to transition into operations where he was able to apply his experience and perspective towards supporting strategic planning, business growth, software implementation, process development, and continuous improvement. 

More recently, Mark was invited to join Avensis Aviation to help support the growth of the company throughout its start-up phase and beyond. During this time, Mark and the Avensis team have accomplished many major milestones whilst at the same time developing and implementing company processes and rolling out various software platforms such as PLM. 

Mark is dedicated to achieving positive results and is passionate about process development, and business growth. What drives a company and its products to success is his motivation.

2. Rob Baker, Global Lead Engineering Systems at Turntide Technologies

Rob Baker is a Global Lead for Engineering Systems for Turntide Technologies, a company that is helping to decarbonise energy-intensive industries, particularly transport, buildings, and agriculture. Ro

b is responsible for supporting and enhancing engineering systems across all sites in the UK, US, and Canada. One of the UK sites has recently deployed 3DEXPERIENCE which is being used for SolidWorks CAD data management but is evolving to include change management. During his session, Rob will discuss the 3DEXPERIENCE selection and adoption process, along with some lessons learnt.

Turntide Technologies is providing a path for companies and the world to reach net zero by developing technology to accelerate the decarbonization and electrification of energy-intensive industries like transport, buildings, and agriculture which are responsible for over half of emissions.

3. Philip Richardson, Ergonomics Technical Specialist at JLR

Philip is an Ergonomics Technical Specialist at JLR, with a key focus on improving the comfort, usability and practicality of modern luxury vehicles for the most discerning of customers. During his session, Philip will discuss how he, and his team at JLR, leverage our RAMSIS solution to access human interaction with vehicle components.

Untitled design 94. Jamie Wheat, SIMULIA Process Industry Expert at Dassault Systèmes

Jamie graduated from Coventry University where he studied Automotive Engineering Design before joining Perkins Engines in 2004.

Jamie then joined the Red Bull F1 team within the structures department working on composite and metallic components and assemblies.  He went on to create and lead the FEA tools and process development group ultimately looking after the strategic decisions for the structural teams across the entire Red Bull Campus Group. He is driven by a philosophy of efficiency and maximising technologically innovative solutions and was heavily involved in best practice creation, optimisation and workflow management with HPC specifically targeting optimal job submission profiles to maximise operational efficiency.

Jamie joined Dassault in January 2023 and works within the global Industry Process Success Transportation & Mobility group, developing, enabling & deploying structural workflows for the automotive sector.
