Course Overview
This Surface Designer 3DEXPERIENCE Transition course addresses the needs of surface designers.
In this module, you will learn how to design a new part with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. You will also learn how to create a new part version, replace the original part and update the product.

What You'll Learn
Course Agenda
Lesson 1: Creating New Content
- In this lesson, you will learn about various 3DEXPERIENCE platform terminologies.
- You will also learn various options to import, save and insert PLM objects.
Lesson 2: Creating a New 3D Part
- In this lesson, you will learn about the user interface of the Part Design, Sketcher and Generative Shape Design apps.
- You will also create and modify a 3D part.
Lesson 3: Creating a New Revision
- In this lesson, you learn how to create major and minor revisions.
- You will replace parts in an assembly by an existing revision of the part.
- You will also learn how to manage the rights and ownership of objects.
Lesson 4: Master Project – Toy Car
- In this lesson, you will design a toy car using various Generative Shape Design tools.

Group / Classroom Training
Receive Surface Designer 3DEXPERIENCE Transition training in a group in a traditional classroom environment. Courses can be taken in one of our training locations in the UK, Ireland, US or Canada using DS approved training content and methodologies.
