What You'll Learn
Course Agenda
Lesson 1: Creating New Content
- In this lesson, you will learn about various 3DEXPERIENCE platform terminologies.
- You will also learn various options to import, save and insert PLM objects.
Lesson 2: Creating a New 3D Part
- In this lesson, you will learn about the user interface of the Part Design, Sketcher and Generative Shape Design apps.
- You will also create and modify a 3D part.
Lesson 3: Creating Engineering Connections
- This lesson describes how to create Engineering Connections between various parts in an assembly to specify how the parts will behave with respect to one another and limit their degrees of freedom.
Lesson 4: Calculating the Weight
- This lesson describes how to define or compute the weights and weight distribution in a product by specifying material properties.
Lesson 5: Creating a Drawing
- This lesson describes how drawings can be generated and managed.
Lesson 6: Creating a New Revision
- In this lesson, you learn how to create major and minor revisions.
- You will replace parts in an assembly by an existing revision of the part.
- You will also learn how to manage the rights and ownership of objects.
Lesson 7: Managing a Product Structure
- This lesson describes how to manage Product Structure, create and manage Publications and Skeletons.
Lesson 8: Designing in Context
- This lesson describes how to create and manage contextual links between parts.
Lesson 9: Working with Large Assemblies
- This lesson describes how to effectively use memory while working with large assemblies.
Lesson 10: Creating Assembly Features
- This lesson describes the use of various assembly features to help in assembly.
Lesson 11: Creating and Using Catalogues
- This lesson describes how catalogues can ease the process of reusing components.
Lesson 12: Analysing Assemblies
- This lesson describes how assemblies can be analysed to check for interference, degrees of freedom between parts.
Training Methods
Choose from three different training methods available to you
Group / Classroom Training
Receive Mechanical Designer 3DEXPERIENCE Transition training in a group in a traditional classroom environment. Courses can be taken in one of our training locations in the UK, Ireland, US or Canada using DS approved training content and methodologies.
Advantages
- Cost effective training method.
- Leave the office to concentrate on learning.
- Learn more through group questions and feedback.
Live Online Training
With online training you will experience an interactive learning environment where you can give feedback, gain access to the training files and get time to work on training exercises.
Advantages
- Online courses can maximise convenience and save on travel expenses.
- More effective than video based training, with recorded videos learners are often not as focused on the training and skip exercises.
On-Site Training
Receive training at your place of work. This style of flexible training is perfect for teams or individuals who are faced with a specific challenge and require personalized courses with on-the-job coaching.
Advantages
- Use our state-of-the-art mobile classroom at your facility.
- Bring your team up to a consistent level of knowledge by having them take the same training at the same time.
- Benefit from flexible scheduling options.
