The ENOVIA 3DEXPERIENCE Cost Manager (CTR-OC) Role enables you to manage End-to-End product costs along the product lifecycle from early phases of the program to delivery by allowing users to establish target costs, cost estimates or enter actual costs, manage risks and opportunities to help decision-making and ensure business sustainability.

This role helps Cost Managers ensure the cost of their products meet the established cost targets by allowing users to perform cost assessments and identify potential risks and opportunities to forecast cost reductions or cost creeps to assess trade-offs to help converge on technical and economical solutions by balancing trade-offs.

What is a 3DEXPERIENCE Role?

A 3DEXPERIENCE Role is a selected group of apps and services useful for a specific job on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. You can have multiple roles and your administrator can create a custom role for you. Apps provide the actual functionality of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, for example, the Project Planner App provides project management, task assignment, and progress tracking capability.

What is included in a 3DEXPERIENCE Role?

Each design team is different, and every user has individual needs. On the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, tools are bundled into Roles which are assigned to individual users on an as-needed basis. Roles grant access to Apps in the Platform. You can think of the Roles on the platform as “a la carte” – meaning you can build your Platform to contain exactly the tools you need, and none of the ones you don’t. Some Roles contain basic tools which may be required for every user, and other Roles are highly specialised for particular applications.
