Materials Compliance Supplier Representative

Gather material declarations from the supply chain for outsourced parts using the Materials Compliance Supplier Representative Role on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform

The ENOVIA 3DEXPERIENCE Materials Compliance Supplier Representative (MCD) Role enables suppliers to create and submit material declarations.

It comes with a simple web user interface for suppliers to view their assigned material declaration requests, review the customer’s reporting deadlines, create declarations, and upload completed material declarations to be reviewed by other users in the materials compliance process.

Materials Compliance Supplier Representative Benefits

Enable Supplier Access to Requested Parts

Suppliers can easily view the parts for which they need to provide material declarations. They can then download these parts into the tools they will use to create the declarations, including IPC 1752, JAMA, JAMP, Compliance Connect, or the on-line declaration editor. This ensures that the information in the final declaration is for the actual parts requested.

Improve Tracking of the Material Declaration Throughout Its Lifecycle

Suppliers can view the progress of material declaration reporting, see what declarations are pending (requested) and track which declarations have been received, accepted, or rejected. If a declaration is rejected, they can see the reason why and take action to provide a new declaration.

Improve Productivity for Material Declarations

Two tools are provided to allow suppliers to create declarations. Compliance Connect is an Excel-based tool that supports a complex spectrum of declaration types. The on-line declaration editor is a simpler tool that suppliers can easily use to create and submit declarations in IPC 1752 format. The editor ensures insures that objects like substances or exemptions referenced in the declaration exist in the Materials Compliance Manager instance. These tools eliminate the need for suppliers to have to use 3rd party tools to create the declarations.

Support Industry Formats

The supplier portal can upload and import declarations in a variety of industry formats including IPC 1752, JAMP, and JAMA. This allows companies to choose how they want their suppliers to report declarations.

Review the Final Bill of Materials

Once a declaration is imported, a supplier can view a tree representation of the reported BOM as it is defined in Materials Compliance Manager. This gives suppliers assurance that the data they provided was imported into Materials Compliance Manager as they expected.
