The SIMULIA 3DEXPERIENCE Material Calibration Engineer (MAS-OC) Role provides calibration capabilities for a broad range of Abaqus material models including extensive coverage of polymers and other rubber-like materials.
Calibration of virtual material behavior is a critical part of conducting high-value, high-accuracy simulation. Calibration refers to the selection of the parameters of the virtual material model; so that the model matches the behavior of data from a real material test generated in a testing lab. Calibration is complicated and often requires an iterative procedure to gradually improve the accuracy of the model until the most accurate result is achieved.
The resulting material model after calibration is completed may be written back into 3DEXPERIENCE as a Material Object for use by other applications.
Material Calibration Specialist Engineer from Simulation Data Science capabilities. Enabling all simulation activities, models, and results to be linked, traced, managed, updated, published, re-used, and analyzed with ease by all impacted users.
Material Calibration Engineer Benefits
- Enables use of high fidelity material models for elastomers throughout the enterprise.
- Promotes higher accuracy modeling which is a core differentiator for 3DEXPERIENCE structural solvers (Abaqus).
Material Calibration Engineer Highlights
- Provides calibration services for elastomeric (rubber) materials.
- All hyperelastic models (except Marlow) are available.
- Time-dependent behavior (Prony series for shear) can be calibrated.
- Damage (Mullins effect) can be calibrated.
- Calibrated models can be saved to 3DEXPERIENCE to enable these calibrated models to be used by other 3DEXPERIENCE applications.
